Maskali Island - Gulf of Tadjoura

Maskali Island offers a solid dive in the Gulf of Tadjoura. We’ve found the eastern side particularly interesting, with a gentle slope down to about 18 meters where you'll often spot diagonal-lined wrasse darting amongst the coral bommies. Keep an eye out for Red Sea butterflyfish, their bright yellow easy to pick out against the deeper blues. The currents are usually mild, making it a good spot for divers getting comfortable in the region. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the long-beaked dolphins that occasionally cruise through the area.
