TAYGA (PART OF) - Gulf of Tadjoura
The Tayga isn't a deep dive, sitting in just 7 metres of water, but it’s a fascinating look at history. This old UK Liberty ship beached back in 1967, and what’s left of her now forms a lively artificial reef. We've often found schools of bannerfish fluttering around the remaining superstructure, and the shallow depth means plenty of light for photography, even on cloudier days. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for extended bottom times and for those who enjoy poking around a proper wreck without the pressure of depth.
