Circle Divers Dahab House Reef - Dahab

The Gravel Loader. It’s a bit of a Sydney classic for a reason. We’re talking about an old jetty that, despite its industrial name, consistently delivers some genuinely fascinating diving, particularly for those who appreciate the smaller stuff. We’ve spent hours here, meticulously combing the pylons and their debris field, always finding something new. It’s an easy, shallow dive, maxing out around 9m, making it perfect for a long bottom time or multiple tanks if you really want to explore. Visibility averages around 7m, so you’re always looking closely, which honestly suits the macro life that thrives here. Our favourite finds include the well-camouflaged frogfish, often nestled amongst the sponges, and the delicate sand anemones. You'll also spot a good number of blue swimming crabs scuttling around. Keep an eye out for lionfish in the warmer months, lurking under ledges. We always recommend looking up occasionally too – kingfish and old wives often cruise through the pylons, their scales catching the light. It's a site that rewards patience and a keen eye.
