Ras Abu Galum - Dahab

Ras Abu Galum sits north of Dahab, a journey often involving a camel ride along the coast, which adds to the adventure. Once you’re in the water, the topography shifts from sloping reefs to more dramatic drop-offs further out. We've often spotted big schools of sergeant-majors zipping around the stony corals, and the light filtering through the seagrass beds can be quite beautiful. It's a calmer dive than some of Dahab's more famous spots, ideal for a relaxed long-bottom time, especially if you appreciate the quieter side of the Red Sea and don't mind a bit of a trek to get there.
