Ras Malah - Dahab

Ras Malah is one of those Dahab dives we always find ourselves drifting back to. It’s got a real quiet charm, a gentle slope that just keeps giving the deeper you go. We love dropping in early, before the day boats arrive, when the light catches the corals just right. You’ll find some seriously impressive birdsnest and staghorn formations here, huge intricate structures that have been growing for decades. Look closer, and you’ll spot smaller treasures, like the iridescent sheen of a Carnelian Cowry grazing on an encrusting pore coral. The reef plays host to a good mix of species, but for us, it’s the sheer variety and health of the corals that makes Ras Malah special. It’s a site for divers who appreciate the subtle beauty of a thriving reef, perfect for a long, relaxed exploration.
