SHILLONG - El Gouna

The Shillong sits upright on the seabed, a big steamship sunk back in '57 after tangling with the Purfina Congo. At 159 metres long, there's a lot to take in, and a full tour will eat up a good portion of your bottom time, even at 32 metres. We've found the stern section, with its enormous propeller, is often a good spot to find lionfish tucked away, and the cargo holds can host glassfish schools. It’s definitely a dive for those who appreciate a substantial wreck with a bit of history, rather than a quick coral fix. Due to its size and depth, we’d suggest it for divers comfortable with longer deco stops and solid buoyancy control.
