Giftun Soraya - Hurghada

Giftun Soraya, a regular mooring spot for Hurghada dive boats, usually offers a relaxed dive. We’ve found it’s a good choice when the weather kicks up elsewhere, as it’s often more sheltered. The main draw here is the chance to drift along the wall, keeping an eye out for larger pelagics – we’ve seen sleeks unicornfish cruise by, and even a pod of Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins once on a particularly lucky day. Expect schools of fusiliers in the blue, and look closely on the reef for the clown tangs and black blennies. It’s a solid, undemanding dive, perfect for a gentle afternoon in the water.
