Sha'ab El Erg - Hurghada

Sha'ab El Erg, often called "Dolphin House," is one of those Hurghada sites where a good day feels truly special. We've spent many mornings here hoping for a visit from the resident bottlenose or spinner dolphins, and more often than not, they deliver. It’s mostly a horseshoe-shaped reef, offering decent protection and a nice drift along the outer edges when the current picks up. Look for groups of dusky farmerfish in the shallows and keep an eye out for banded maori wrasse patrolling the coral heads. It’s a pretty relaxed dive, good for newer divers, with depths around 15-20 metres, and ideal for a second dive of the day when you're just looking for some pleasant reef time and that chance dolphin encounter.
