Daedalus Reef - Marsa Alam
Daedalus Reef sits a good distance offshore from Marsa Alam, so getting here means a liveaboard trip, but it’s worth the journey. The walls drop deep, covered in a thick carpet of soft corals and some impressive sea fans, especially along the north and south points. This spot is known for its pelagics; we’ve seen scalloped hammerheads cruising through the blue here, and even a false killer whale once. Currents can be strong, particularly around the northern plateau, so this site is best for experienced divers comfortable in drift conditions.
