East Point is a reef dive where divers can encounter dolphins, humpback whales, oceanic whitetip sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 23-31°C, warmest July, August, September.
East Point in Marsa Alam is a spot for those hoping for pelagics. While the reef itself isn’t a standout, we’ve heard reports of false killer whales and long-beaked dolphins passing through. It’s a site best suited for divers who are content with waiting and watching the blue, with less emphasis on the reef structure. Keep an eye out from the surface, too.
