Why dive here
Hamada is a reef dive where divers can encounter dolphins, humpback whales, oceanic whitetip sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 23-31°C, warmest July, August, September.
Hamada, near Marsa Alam, gives you a relaxed dive. We like to drift along the sandy slopes, keeping an eye out for the resident green turtles munching on the seagrass beds. You'll find a surprising amount of smaller stuff tucked into the grass, from little topshells to the occasional cowry. It’s a good spot for newer divers looking for something calm, or experienced photographers who enjoy macro work without the rush.
