Dive resorts often have house reefs that get a bit overlooked, but Marsa Nakari North is worth a second look, especially if you’re staying nearby. It’s an easy entry right off the beach, perfect for a relaxed morning dive or a twilight dip. We’ve found the real draw here isn’t necessarily the coral, though it’s healthy enough, but the chance for some pelagic encounters. Pharaoh cuttlefish are a common sight, but we've seen everything from Cowfish cruising the shallows to Indian Scad schooling in the blue. Keep an eye out for dolphins – Bottlenose and Bridled have been known to pass through, even a Whale Shark on occasion. It’s a great spot for newer divers to build confidence, or for experienced eyes wanting a calm dive with potential for surprises.
