Rocky East
Why dive here
Rocky East is a reef dive where divers can encounter dolphins, humpback whales, oceanic whitetip sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 23-31°C, warmest July, August, September.
Rocky East is one of those sites where you keep your eyes on the blue. We've seen false killer whales and long-beaked dolphins here, often passing through rather than resident. It’s a good spot for divers who enjoy open water encounters and are happy with less focus on the reef itself. Visibility can vary, but generally, it's a calm drift.
