Shaab Said Nord - Marsa Alam
Shaab Said Nord, off Marsa Alam, is one of those sites we always keep an eye on, especially if we’re hoping for pelagics. It's not a site you visit for intricate reef structures, but rather for the open water surprises. We’ve had some truly fantastic encounters here with pods of bottlenose dolphins cruising by, and even a couple of times, the sleek, dark shapes of false killer whales in the blue. Keep your eyes peeled for those distinctive cowfish near the reef, too. It’s a great spot for experienced divers comfortable with open water, willing to wait patiently for those bigger visitors.
