    StandoutRich in charismatic marine life

Shaab Sakara is one of those Marsa Alam sites that often gets overlooked, but we think it’s worth a look if you’re in the area. It’s mostly about the dolphins here. We’ve had some truly magic encounters with pods of long-beaked dolphins and Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins cruising through the shallows, particularly around the seagrass beds of *Halodule uninervis* and *Cymodocea serrulata*. You’ll often spot them feeding, which is always a treat. It’s a pretty easygoing dive, good for photographers hoping to capture some amazing marine mammal shots without a lot of current fuss.
