Elphinstone Diving Adventures in Marsa Alam - Safaga

Elphinstone, off the coast of Marsa Alam, is a drift dive that delivers on the promise of big pelagics. You’re often dropped right onto the northern plateau, immediately searching the blue for hammerheads and oceanic whitetips, particularly in late autumn. The walls are healthy, packed with colourful soft corals, but it's the thrill of what might cruise by in the current that draws us back. It’s definitely a site for experienced divers comfortable with deeper profiles and strong drifts, usually with zodiac pick-ups, and it can get busy. We usually try to get there early to beat some of the crowds.
