Orca Dive Club Safaga - Safaga
The Orca Dive Club site in Safaga feels like a comfortable house reef, even if it’s not strictly one. It’s mostly seagrass beds and sandy patches, which might sound dull, but don’t rush past it. We've seen a surprising amount of macro life here, particularly the Brownbar snapping shrimp – always a treat to watch them work. Look closely among the Thalassia and Cymodocea seagrass, and you might spot cone snails moving slowly. We’ve had a few lucky days with dolphin sightings here too, both Long-beaked and Indian Ocean bottlenose passing through the deeper areas. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for knocking off the rust or for photographers wanting a calmer environment to hunt for smaller critters.
