Ras Abu Soma Garden - Safaga

Ras Abu Soma Garden is a pleasant enough dive, a good spot if you’re looking for a relaxed afternoon. The garden bit in the name comes from the extensive seagrass beds, mainly *Halodule* and *Thalassia*, which are actually pretty important ecosystems. We’ve seen Long-beaked and Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins cruising through these beds, which is always a treat. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, like the Variable Stromb snails and the Sand-dusted Cone snails tucked among the blades. It’s a gentle drift, suitable for newer divers or anyone wanting a chill dive after a more demanding morning.
