Shaab Hamdallah is one of those Safaga reefs where you never quite know what’s going to swim by. We’ve had dives here that felt almost too quiet, then suddenly a pod of bottlenose dolphins appear, circling just offshore. It’s not a heavily dived site, which means the corals have a chance to grow undisturbed, and you often find the reef sharks and larger pelagics more relaxed. If you like drifting along, eyes peeled for something unexpected, Hamdallah usually delivers. It’s a good choice for divers who appreciate a peaceful exploration over high-octane action.
