Sharm al Naqa - Safaga

Sharm al Naqa feels like a private aquarium, especially on a calm morning. The shallow fringing reef, just a short swim from shore, drops away gently, perfect for an easy first dive or a relaxed second one. We’ve found it’s where you often spot smaller, shyer creatures – things like the quirky brownbar snapping shrimp if you look closely, or a flash of a variable stromb snail moving along the sand. Visibility here is usually excellent, and if you’re lucky, sometimes a pod of Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins passes by in the deeper blue. It’s a comfortable, unhurried dive that suits divers looking to unwind rather than chase big pelagics.
