EITANA - Tyre

Eitana, just off the coast of Tyre, is one of our favourite wreck dives in Lebanon. This purposely sunk tug vessel rests upright at a comfortable 20 metres, making it accessible for most certified divers. What we love about Eitana is how quickly nature has embraced it; schools of barracuda often circle the mast, their silver scales flashing in the sunlight filtering down. Drop down and you'll find the main deck is easy to navigate. We often spend time peering into the wheelhouse, imagining the tug in its working life, before drifting along the superstructure where moray eels peek out from every crevice. Look closely, and you'll spot nudibranchs painted like tiny jewels on the metalwork. The engine room is open for exploration if you're comfortable with a bit of penetration, but even just exploring the exterior offers plenty to see. It's a relaxed, rewarding dive, perfect for a second tank or for anyone looking for a proper wreck experience without strong currents or deep depths.
