SALEM - Tyre

The Salem, a wooden vessel resting in Tyre's shallow waters, offers a surprisingly poignant dive. We're talking just 5 meters here, making it accessible for nearly any diver, even those still gaining confidence. She was a casualty, sunk in Beirut Port allegedly by a mortar hit, and now her broken timbers create a surprisingly rich habitat. You'll find schools of small fish darting between the planks and the occasional octopus peeking out from a shadowed crevice. It’s less about grand scale and more about the quiet history, a gentle exploration for an hour or so.
