TAREK - Tyre

Tarek isn't your deep-sea adventure, but it’s a surprisingly engaging spot right off the coast of Tyre. This motor vessel, sunk in 1979, now rests in just a metre of water, making it a fantastic site for snorkelers, freedivers, and even new divers getting comfortable with wreckage. You can fin right over its deck, seeing the structure clearly outlined against the sandy bottom. Small groupers and damselfish dart between the remains, and we’ve spotted moray eels peeking out from under rusted plating. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, perfect for a relaxed afternoon exploring maritime history without the nitrogen narcosis.
