Cave Reef - Jeddah

Cave Reef in Jeddah offers a straightforward dive, popular with local dive centres, though perhaps not one to fly halfway around the world for. The real draw here, as the name suggests, is the small network of swim-throughs and overhangs. Inside, look for the flash of small-eyed squirrelfish darting into crevices, or the delicate dance of banded cleaner shrimp on a passing rock cod. Outside, we often spot broom filefish grazing the coral, and sometimes, if you're lucky, a scalloped hammerhead might cruise by in the blue. It’s a decent option for a relaxed afternoon dive, particularly if you appreciate navigating tighter spaces.
