Cement Reef - Jeddah

Cement Reef, just off Jeddah, isn’t going to rewrite your dive log, but it’s a solid option for a relaxed morning. The site gets its name from some old cement bags scattered about, now well-integrated and providing shelter. You’ll find a good collection of the usual suspects here: we’ve seen plenty of Picasso triggerfish eyeing us up, and the broom filefish are always a treat to watch grazing. Keep an eye out for the small-eyed squirrelfish tucked into crevices and the Red Sea half-and-half chromis flitting around the staghorn and honeycomb corals. It’s a pleasant, easy dive, probably best for a second tank when you’re not chasing big pelagics.
