Chicken Wreck (M.V Glaros) - Jeddah

The Chicken Wreck, the M.V. Glaros, is a surprisingly good dive, especially for how shallow it sits. We love that it’s right there at 18 metres, making it super accessible for newer divers or for a relaxed second tank. You’ll drop down onto the main deck, often finding a resident turtle munching on algae, completely unbothered by your presence. The wreck itself is relatively intact, letting you peer into cargo holds that now house schools of fusiliers, swirling like silver curtains. Our favourite part is the engine room, which is an easy swim-through if you’re comfortable, offering cool shadows and the feeling of truly exploring. Look closely on the deck plates and you’ll spot crocodile fish perfectly camouflaged, waiting patiently. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, but still offers plenty of nooks and crannies to keep you engaged. Ideal for anyone looking for a chill dive with a bit of history and plenty of fish life.
