ORRI 15 - Jeddah

ORRI 15 isn't just another wreck; it's a solid, industrial ghost from 1976, sitting upright on the seabed near Jeddah. We love that it’s a barge, not a fancy ship, with that gritty, working-boat feel. You drop down to 23 metres and suddenly this massive, boxy structure appears, its flat deck like a massive stage. The best part? How accessible it is. We often find ourselves drifting over the holds, imagining the cargo, now home to clouds of glassfish so dense they shimmer like liquid silver. Look closely, and you’ll spot crocodilefish camouflaged on the deck plates, perfectly still, waiting. Our favourite time to dive it is mid-morning, when the sunlight filters through the shallowest parts, making the superstructure glow. The lack of strong currents here means you can really take your time, poke around the winch gear, and just appreciate the scale. For a straightforward wreck dive that delivers on atmosphere and offers a peaceful, unhurried exploration, ORRI 15 is our top pick in Jeddah.
