RADUAN - Jeddah
The Raduan wreck, resting in just seven metres of water, is a perfect antidote to those long surface intervals. We love how accessible it is, making for an easy second or third dive after you’ve explored deeper sites. What you get here is a surprisingly intact hull, broken up enough to offer swim-throughs but still very clearly a vessel. It’s not just a pile of metal; you can really picture it as a ship. Our favourite part is the engine room, surprisingly well-preserved, with machinery still visible. Schools of snapper and fusiliers are usually hanging around the superstructure, shimmering as they catch the light filtering down. Look closely and you’ll spot crocodilefish camouflaged on the deck, and we've often seen moray eels peeking out from various crevices. It’s a photographer's dream for wide-angle shots with the sun streaming in, or macro moments if you take your time. This spot is brilliant for newer divers wanting to get comfortable with wrecks, but also a joy for experienced divers who appreciate an easy, vibrant dive. The lack of current usually means you can spend ages exploring without fighting the water.
