Shark Reef - Jeddah

We've spent a fair bit of time exploring the reefs around Jeddah, and Shark Reef is one that consistently gives us something to talk about. It’s not about huge pelagics here, despite the name. Instead, you'll want to take it slow, especially around the overhangs and coral formations. We often find Dusky Angelfish darting around the stony corals, and there’s usually a Picasso Triggerfish or two patrolling their patch. Look closer, and you might spot a Townsend's Fangblenny peeking out. It’s a comfortable dive, good for divers who enjoy a relaxed pace and appreciate the smaller details of a healthy reef system.
