She'ab Alkabir is a solid choice when you're diving out of Jeddah, especially if you're getting back into the swing of things or just starting out. At a gentle 22 metres max, it's a relaxed drift along a healthy reef slope, a great spot to practise buoyancy without worrying about sudden drop-offs. We’ve often seen schools of surgeonfish grazing the corals and the occasional turtle gliding by. Visibility is usually pretty dependable, making it a good, easy dive for beginners or those looking for a calm afternoon.
