The Levanzo Wreck isn't just a sunken ship; it’s a time capsule with an open door. We love that feeling of history under the waves here. Dropping down, you’re not just seeing metal; you’re tracing the ribs of a vessel that once sailed, now completely overtaken by the Red Sea’s vibrant colours. Our favourite moments involve peeking into the cargo holds, where the light filters in, illuminating huge schooling bannerfish, sometimes even a curious reef shark making a pass. It’s a proper exploration, with the structure still largely intact, offering swim-throughs and plenty of nooks for moray eels and lionfish to hide. The currents tend to be mild, so you can really take your time, letting your eyes adjust to the details of the wreck itself and the myriad creatures that now call it home. This one is perfect for divers who appreciate a wreck with a story, and who enjoy the interplay of history and abundant marine life.
