MADADI 2 - Fujairah

Madadi 2 is where we tell our newer divers to start when they're ready for something more than a shallow reef. It's a small tugboat, sitting perfectly upright in just five metres of water, meaning you get a huge amount of bottom time to really soak it all in. We love how the shallow depth paints the wreck in natural light, making the colours pop even on an overcast day. You can swim right through the wheelhouse, which is often busy with shoals of snapper darting in and out. Below deck, there are plenty of nooks where moray eels peer out from rusty pipes, and we've even spotted a few sleepy turtles tucked into the corners. Our favourite part has to be the stern, where the propeller sits, now a dense home for glassfish and the occasional lionfish. It’s an easy, relaxing dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to spend ages examining every rivet and plate that’s now part of a thriving artificial reef.
