MORAD 1 - Fujairah

Morad 1 is one of our favourite wreck dives in Fujairah, a genuinely impressive structure that always delivers a good dive. It sits upright, mostly intact, on a sandy bottom at 19 metres. What we love about Morad is how the wreck itself feels alive. Schools of fusiliers often hang above the main deck, shimmering and parting as you swim through them. Look closer and you'll spot moray eels peering out from hidden nooks, and we've regularly seen turtles grazing on the soft corals that have started to colonise the superstructure. The large cargo holds are open, inviting exploration for those with the right training. Penetration here isn't overly complex, but it's dark inside, so a good torch is essential for catching the reflective eyes of sleeping snappers. The wheelhouse is also a fun swim-through. We’d suggest diving Morad 1 early in the morning, before the boat traffic picks up, when the light filters beautifully through the upper decks. It’s a site that suits advanced open water divers comfortable with wreck exploration, offering a rewarding mix of history and vibrant marine life.
