THE GANNET - Fujairah

The Gannet is a decent dive, a purposeful sinking that now sits upright on the seabed at 50 metres. It’s a flat-top barge, nothing too grand, but the story behind it adds a bit of intrigue; an intercepted smuggling vessel left to its own devices in rough weather. We typically find batfish and snapper schooling around the superstructure, and the occasional turtle glides past. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so it’s one to hit on a good day, but for competent deep divers looking for a straightforward wreck, it’s a solid choice.
