Beer
Why dive here
With 33+ marine species recorded in the area - including sperm whales - Beer offers some of Mar del Plata's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 10-21°C, warmest January, February, March.
The Beer wreck, sitting shallow at 3 metres in Mar del Plata, is a straightforward dive, accessible for most. It’s a broken-up cargo vessel, spread across a sandy bottom, its ribs and plates now home to crabs and small fish. We often spot cormorants diving nearby, hunting amongst the metal. It’s a good option for a casual dip, or for photographers wanting to practice shallow wreck composition.
