Chaco - Mar del Plata

The Chaco wreck, sitting in Mar del Plata's cool Atlantic waters, is a proper introduction to wreck diving. At a shallow 7 metres, it’s accessible and still provides plenty to explore. We’ve found the light ship to be a haven for juvenile fish, and it’s always interesting to see how the local marine life adapts to these artificial structures. You can poke around the superstructure and get a real feel for the ship's past, with enough nooks for curious divers. It’s a great spot for those looking to get comfortable with wreck diving without battling depth or challenging currents.
