D-2 - Mar del Plata

D-2, just off Mar del Plata, offers a peek at a substantial sunken vessel. This isn't a coral reef; it's a metal world at 11 metres, where the wreck of a dangerous floating structure stretches 91 metres long. We’ve found the sheer scale impressive, especially when you consider its history as a hazard now turned habitat. Visibility can be a bit of a mixed bag depending on the day, but when it’s good, you can make out the ship’s structure, which attracts all sorts of local fish, often sheltering in the broken sections. It’s a solid dive for those who appreciate wrecks and the hardy species that colonise them.
