PRIMSEA - Mar del Plata

PRIMSEA, off Mar del Plata, is a real character of a dive. It's a shallow wreck, only five meters deep, making it perfect for a relaxed swim-through, even for newer divers. What we love about PRIMSEA is the way the light filters through the hull, casting these shifting patterns on the sandy bottom, particularly around midday. You can poke around the superstructure, imagining the vessel’s working life before it went down. The wreck itself is a magnet for the local critters. We’ve spent ages watching schools of pollock dart in and out of the metal framework, and you’ll often spot crabs scuttling over the plates. Keep an eye out for small nudibranchs too, clinging to the rust-coloured metal – they’re easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. It’s a comfortable dive, usually with good visibility, allowing you to really soak in the atmosphere of this old workhorse. Our favourite tip? Go on a calm day; the visibility really pops.
