The Rio Batel wreck sits in shallow water, only 5 meters deep, making it an excellent spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed experience. What's left of the masts still stands, creating interesting swim-throughs and plenty of nooks for small fish and crabs. We often see silversides schooling around the superstructure, and the wreck itself is well-colonised by sponges and anemones. It’s a great, easy dive for shaking out the kinks or getting comfortable in temperate waters.
