The Santa Maria Magdalena wreck sits in just 4m of water off Mar del Plata, an old fishing vessel that’s now well broken up. It’s a shallow, open site, good for newer divers keen to explore some scattered wreckage and practice buoyancy. Look closely among the ribs and plates, and you’ll find small crabs, blennies, and a surprising number of anemones. We’d suggest this one for a relaxed afternoon dive, not for a big wreck adventure.
