Enseada do Bananal - Arraial do Cabo

Enseada do Bananal, tucked into Arraial do Cabo, is one of those places that just *feels* right. We love it for its relaxed vibe and the sheer amount of things you can just stumble upon. Drop down and it’s a calm, sandy bottom, dotted with small rocks and some surprisingly busy nooks. We’ve spent whole dives here just watching drumfish dig for snacks, their little tails kicking up puffs of sand. Visibility here can be stellar, often 15 metres plus, especially on a calm morning before the boats really get moving. That's when we've seen juvenile bonefish darting, quick flashes of silver against the pale sand. Keep an eye out for those ivory tusk shells, they’re often half-buried, a creamy white against the darker bottom. The blennies here are fantastic, little personalities peeking out from tiny crevices. It's a mellow dive, perfect for photographers who like to take their time, or anyone who just wants a peaceful hour underwater without too much current fuss.
