Laje de Santos, just off Arraial do Cabo, is a reliable pinnacle dive. You'll drop down onto a rocky structure that’s home to clouds of demoiselles and schools of striped parrotfish. Look closely for angelfish flitting in and out of the crevices, and don’t be surprised to spot a chunky gray snapper eyeing you up. It’s a solid dive for those who appreciate the smaller, endemic species of the Brazilian coast. We typically find it a relaxing drift, a good option when the surge elsewhere is a bit much.
