Recife das Pinaúnas - Salvador & Bahia

Newington Rock offers a solid Alaskan dive. Dropping down, you’ll find a jagged rock face with plenty of crevices and ledges to explore. We’ve spotted big skates hunkering down on the bottom here, and occasionally a spiny dogfish cruises by. Look closely for the prickly sculpins tucked amongst the rocks, they’re masters of camouflage. During the salmon runs, you’ll see calico, pink, and coho salmon pushing through the area, a real spectacle. This is a good spot for divers who appreciate the rugged beauty of northern temperate waters and don’t mind a bit of a chill.
