Crystal Bay - Bali

Crystal Bay, sometimes known as Penida Bay, can be a real game of chance, especially with the currents. We’ve seen it placid enough for an easy drift, and other times, those downcurrents will give you a proper workout. The draw, of course, is the chance to spot a Mola mola, particularly in season. Even without the sunfish, there’s a good scattering of staghorn and table corals, often home to a busy community of pink anemonefish and Batavian parrotfish. If you’re comfortable with potential current and have a keen eye, it’s worth a look.
