Why dive here
With 515+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks, giant moray eels and manta rays - Gili Tepekong North offers some of Bali's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, November.
Gili Tepekong North sits off Bali’s eastern coast and it’s a site that definitely has its moments. We often find ourselves gliding over wide coral plains, dotted with some surprisingly large boulders that add a bit of structure to the landscape. Keep an eye out for the usual suspects here, like blue-spotted stingrays tucked into the sand and the flash of a bird wrasse zipping by. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a green or leatherback turtle cruising through. It’s a generally relaxed dive, a nice option when you want something steady without too much drama.
