MEGA KARYA - Bali

Mega Karya isn't your average Bali wreck. This sailing vessel, a victim of fire before she sank, lies at a proper 36 metres, making it a dive for experienced deep divers. We love the sheer drama of her story, and you can still see evidence of the blaze in the charred timbers if you look closely. The ship’s frame offers plenty of penetration opportunities, but definitely bring a torch. Inside, schools of glassfish shimmer like mercury in the shafts of light, while robust lionfish perch on railings, surveying their domain. It’s a proper expedition, a bit gloomy in places, but incredibly rewarding for those who appreciate history and a wreck that feels genuinely lost. We’d suggest a nitrox blend to really make the most of the bottom time.
