Why dive here
With 203+ marine species recorded in the area - including manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), pygmy seahorses, sea turtles and sperm whales - Taka Dange offers some of Komodo's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest April, May, November.
Taka Dange offers a solid reef dive within Komodo National Park. We generally find a healthy coral slope here, sloping down to around 20-25 meters. It's a good spot for spotting reef sharks cruising the perimeter and we often see turtles munching on corals. The currents can be moderate, making it best for divers comfortable with a drift.
