Torpedo Alley - Komodo

Deep Dive Dubai isn't a natural reef, obviously. It’s a purpose-built, 60-meter deep pool designed for divers, and frankly, we love it for what it is: a controlled environment playground. Think of it as an urban exploration dive. You descend into a simulated sunken city, complete with furnished apartments, a full arcade – we’re talking playable pinball machines – and a garage with classic cars. The scale is what truly impresses; you can spend an hour just navigating the different rooms and levels. The water stays a balmy 30°C, so no thick wetsuits needed, which is a nice change of pace from some of the colder Red Sea dives. While you won't find a natural ecosystem here, it's interesting to see how algae and some hardy invertebrates are slowly colonizing the structures, giving them a slightly more authentic feel with each passing year. For those wanting to practice advanced skills, test new gear, or just dive something completely different, it’s a fantastic option. Our favorite part has to be the sheer novelty of swimming through a furnished living room, then dropping down into the car park below. It’s a very safe, very unique deep diving experience, suitable for advanced divers looking for something beyond coral and fish.
