With 246+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks, grey reef sharks, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Big Bubble Dive offers some of Lombok & Gili Islands's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest April, May, November.
Big Bubble Dive gets its name from the volcanic vents that percolate gas up through the sandy seabed. It's a fairly shallow dive, which means plenty of light for the staghorn corals and the blue-spotted stingrays often resting in the sand. Keep an eye out for pink anemonefish in the anemones. We find it’s a good spot for a relaxed second dive, especially when the current isn’t too busy.
