With 246+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue-spotted stingrays, bull sharks, grey reef sharks, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Deep Turbo offers some of Lombok & Gili Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 28-30°C, warmest April, May, November.
Deep Turbo on the Gilis is one of those sites we keep coming back to when we’re after a relaxed dive with a good chance of seeing some larger critters. It's a mellow drift over sandy slopes and patches of seagrass, making it a comfortable dive for most skill levels. We often spot bluespotted maskrays tucked into the sand, and if you’re lucky, a whitetip reef shark might cruise past. Look out for the seastar shrimps – they’re tiny but make for a fun macro hunt. It’s a solid choice for a second dive of the day, gentle and rewarding.
